  • With your permission, we connect to Apple Health (iOS), Health Connect (Android), and supported wearables (e.g., Oura, Fitbit, Garmin, WHOOP) to read sleep and activity summaries.
  • We store app events (e.g., button taps) to improve product reliability and UX. We do not sell your data.
  • You can export or delete your data anytime from Settings.

How AI works

  • We use OpenAI to generate Coach responses and focus prompts on the minimum necessary context.
  • Your personal sleep data is not used to train OpenAI’s general AI models.
  • We employ OpenAI’s secure API, which encrypts your data when it’s sent and when it’s stored.
  • For users in the United States, we adhere to HIPAA standards for protecting your sensitive health information, which includes a formal agreement with OpenAI to safeguard your data.
  • We have configured our use of the OpenAI API to prevent the long‑term storage of your data on their systems. Your data is not retained by OpenAI beyond the duration of your session.

Where data goes

  • Data is processed by our app services and, when using AI features, by OpenAI solely to generate responses.
  • We apply prompt minimization and avoid sending raw, identifiable health records when not necessary.
  • You can export or delete your data in Settings at any time.

A small, time‑boxed habit change designed to improve your sleep—for example, a consistent wake time, a caffeine cutoff, or a wind‑down routine. Experiments can include interventions like smart alarms, reminders, and consistency challenges.

What counts as an AI Coach interaction?

An AI interaction counts when you:

  • Ask the AI a direct question (e.g., “Why was last night worse?”)
  • Request a new experiment recommendation
  • Ask the AI to analyze a specific night or trend in your data

Weekly recaps and passive summaries do not count.

AI Features

How do weekly summaries work?

We compare your check‑ins with wearable trends to suggest the next week’s plan. These summaries don’t count as AI interactions.

Is the AI always right?

No—treat it like a helpful coach, not a clinician. It can make mistakes and shouldn’t be used for medical diagnosis or treatment.

What’s the difference between an experiment and an intervention?

An experiment is the goal you’re testing; interventions are the support tools (like alarms or reminders) that help you stick with it.
